Psalm 148:7-14
A. Terrestrial Exhortation
terrestrial – of or relating to earth to it’s inhabitants, having a world mundane character or quality
- Creation’s sea creatures (Genesis 1:20a, 21a, 22 – Day 5) to increase, to enlarge, to grow
- Creation’s land creatures (Genesis 1:24, 25 – Day 5) to increase, to enlarge, to grow
- Creation’s air creatures (Genesis 1:20b, 21b, 22 – Day 5) to increase, to enlarge, to grow
- Creation’s human creatures (Genesis 1:26-28 – Day 6) to represent reflect resemble, to reproduce, replenish, to rule
- Creation’s elements – defined as one of the four substances of the universe: air water fire earth (Psalm 147:15-18)
- Creation’s nature – natural surroundings, landscape, outdoors, the environment (Genesis 1:11-12 – Day 3; Genesis 1:29-30 provision for man and animals)
B. Terrestrial Explanation
- His Protection – inaccessible, defend, safe, strong (Psalm 121 &
- His Position – superior to all his creation (Psalm 113:4; Psalm 99:2; Psalm 97:9; Psalm 96:4; & Psalm 95:3)
- His Promotion (Psalm 75:6,7,10; Psalm 89:17,24; & Psalm 132:17,18)
- His Possession (Psalm 100:3; Psalm 95:7; and Psalm 79:13)
