Luke 3: 7-14
Evidence: Thing or things helpful in forming a conclusion or judgment; something indicative, an outward sign, visible, plan, to be seen, obvious, proof.
Repentance: To change one’s mind about, to be contrite for wrong behavior/conduct: to rearrange one’s disposition, to reconsider one’s direction, the reversal of one’s decision.
I. By being generous – liberal in giving or sharing, willingness to assist or aid others in need.
(Proverbs 28:27, 22:9 & 19:17; 2 Corinthians 8:14; Luke 11:41; James 2:15-16; 1 John 3:17; Deut. 15:7)
II. By not gouging – to extort, swindle, to beat or cheat out of by intimidation.
(Luke 19:1-8)
III. By being gentle/gracious – not rude, rough or rash but courteous, compassionate or considerate to others.
(Proverbs 15:1, John 13:34-35, 1 John 4:20-21)
IV. By being genuine – free from hypocrisy, duplicity, dishonesty but truthful, faithful, honest toward others.
V. By being grateful – appreciative, thankful, content, satisfied
(Hebrews 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, 1 Timothy 6:6-8)
