Peace is absence of agitation, aggravation, frustration or vexation; freedom from dissension, depression, dejection, discord, disturbance, distress or disorder; commotion, confusion, complication, cluttering, confounding, complex.
Eirene (New Testament): to join, set at one again, quietness, rest, unity, serenity, tranquility, harmony, ultimately with God.
Shalom (Old Testament): to be safe (sound or sane) in the mind or body; no wondering, wavering or worrying.
